Great foods, We really enjoyed eating dinner there... highly recommended restaurant for Arabic foods...
Great tasting food with Huge Portions. Good Middle Eastern FoodAl Bandar is the best way to end off a Qatari visit. Forget about getting a table and rather opt for a room where you sit on the floor surrounded by pillows and everyone eats off a dish in the middle. The grilled chicken and lamb kabsa is proper good food and utterly to die for. It seems fairly simple being meat and rice but the flavours will rival any 5* establishment. Portions are massive so go easy on the menu. Each dish can be shared by 2 or even 3 people and when you're stuffed to the gills and getting the meat sweats just sit back, stretch out and relax for a few minutes... your appetite will return shortly to finish off the rest. Soup or rather a meaty tasting broth is served before main meals arrive so go slowly on that. The naan is gigantic and enough for 4 people if you can manage to get the soft, buttery goodness away from the first person to grab it. Al Bandar is not to be missed
Was a bit nervous eating here because there were no tourists and seemed somewhat grungy. But don’t let that deter you because it’s actually quite clean and there were no post-meal digestive challenges (if you know what I mean)! First time having Yemeni food and didn’t really know what we were ordering. Both dishes came in sizzling stone pots and came with a basket of giant flatbread and pile of rice. Great value, authentic flavors, and a local experience! English is spoken here and English menus available.
Having read other reviews myself before visiting this place i will try to be as quick and explanatory as possible. This is by no means a fancy place. If you are looking for a place with a good ambiance, nice decoration, caviar or fois gras on the menu, complicated cooking methods and a waiter to chit chat with then this is not a place for you! This a place to go if you are really hungry and you like chicken, beef or vegetables cooked in several traditional Yemeni style ways. Food was good and prices were very good for the area.
Wonderful food. Souq waqif vibes
Masoob at it's best.if you want to have authentic Yemeni Mandi this is the place to have
Great lunch restaurant with amazing Yemeni dishes. Try Areeka for desert!
Food is awesome. Environment is great. Place and location are FANTASTIC. A big group of tourists were their when arrived. Go eat there
I enjoy the mandi Tess and the mandi chicken. Very nice atmosphere here as well
An amazing food experience with flavours from Yemen not usually experienced elsewhere. This is SOOO affordable and such great portions! Can recommend everything on the menu. Don't over order bread, as you see it is massive. All freshly cooked of course.
Awesome place, had breakfast here. Was worth to go there. Inshaa Allah will go again. Tried chakchouka eggs, tuna and yemini bread which found very nice and the tea was very nice 👌, found best tea in Qatar till now. Table and floor seating arrangements both available here. But It's worth to sit on the ground like traditional Arabic style and eat. Separate rooms are available for families which is very nice 👍
It was a good inexpensive place which i call them normally as dirty food. So delicious and nice environment but you might not like the degree of cleanness of place which I think is part of the characteristic and I love it. Food was just like home made and yummy.
I love the place it is one of the tastiest yemeni food at very reasonable prices in a very good location. The staff is friendly and helpful
On the corniche side of Souq Waqif, and despite being in a tourist area, seems mainly dined in by locals. Always busy, dont be put off by slightly shabby appearance, as the food is sensational... huge portions and cheap... they do doggy bags for leftovers... no alcohol sold of course...choose between tables. or floor-sitting rooms (remove shoes) (recommend tables as rooms seem mainly for families with kids)...61Riyal for 2 HUGE meals, breads and soft drinks
Delicious meals. Food service
Very bad customer service. Waiters treat customer so bad. The worst I even seen.
Good place to try Yemeni cuisines.. just loved it
Food is average. Mandi not recommended. Their naan/khubus is superb. Service is too slow.
Best yamani dishes in Qatar, acceptable prices 5☆amazing food 5☆Service good 3☆Cleaning 4☆
Have visited this cosy little dining place numerous times I really can’t find a proper word to describe how much I am in love with it. You can find various Yemeni dishes all at low and very reasonable prices on the menu, and I’ve tried many and none of these let me down. And another thing worth mentioning is the great services of the employees. Well, in short, my romantic relationship with Bandar Aden will keep going and hopefully you drop in the next time you are in the souq and I am sure you’ll love it too.
One of the fine dine place in Souq Al Waqif. It is located at almost main entrance of the historic place. Their seafood dishes are very delicious. Service is average when it goes into busy hours. Indoor and outdoor seating are available. I consider this restaurant as expensive as it won’t be cheaper. Good place for grounds. Individuals and especially tourists. Authentic menu is the way to go. One can sit outside. Enjoy the meal and the views are just very relaxing. Their are lot of other restaurants and coffee shops around the place. A must recommend place indeed.
One of the best in town, the food is super tasty and delightful , you totally can taste the yemeni flavors and the food portions are very good, highly recommend 👍👍
It was brilliant. Amazing taste and authenticity maintained
Excellent Yemeni food. Waiter can speak English or just point at your neighbors heaping plate of lamb. Accepts credit cards.
Excellent taste at a very decent price. If u r looking for a traditional Yemeni food do visit the restaurant. Better be in a minimum group of 3 to 4 as all the menu items cannot be completed by a single one. Try to finish your course with the special desert which is awesome.
Nice Yemeni cuisine, we ordered Mandi and it was average not that delicious, and we ordered also “beef Agda” meal and it look like Tajine, it was delicious and the meat was very soft , it recommended to be ordered with rice also
Amazing, very authentic Yemeni food. The lamb mandy was so rich and tender. Try out eating in the carpeted floor area for a unique dining experience.
It is very excellent and tasty food, you can order meet zirbyan ( meet with rice ) and meet agda.بصراحة لذة لا تقاوم.
This restaurant is v simple n Yemeni authentic. You need to be prepared to sit on the floor or the carpet per say!The food is all baked but in different ways. You must try the vegetable stew with chicken or meat, they are so awesome n unique I can say.The haneeth meet is also another must try which is a spiced meat baked in a unique Yemeni way!The pictures can't tell the actual flavor so you must try n evaluate yourself!
Zurbian rice is a must try.. Roti and curry was equally good... Fish in the oven doesn't suit Indian taste buds.. Better avoid fish.. Finally the dessert. With bread, honey, cheese, banana, dates.. What's not.. Yummy. Slurp slurp😋
Very good resturant to try yamen taste and mandi rice with Arabic culture..
Delicious specials grom yemen kitchen, fast served, perfect!
I liked it It is one of the second top Yemani Food in Qatar But the place is nice and they are very helpful
One of the best Yemeni restaurant in Qatar. Super cheap and super good but always crowded! Due to that the service can be a little slow. If you want to experience the traditional Arabic dinning, seating on the carpeted floor and eating with your hands(optional) don't hesitate one minute.Located at the Souq Waqif, It deserves a visit!
Super delicious food from Jemen! The bread alone is worth going here! Also must try the Dessert even If you are totally full: roasted Porridge with banana, bread, honey dates and cream cheese..... The price is absolutely great value for you get very Bug dishes (to share). Try to sit outside (in the wintertime summer might be too hot). However almost only Meat and fish dishes... But the can prepare something for vegetarians If you ask...
This was recommended to me by a guy at work who raved about it.It's not exactly the most luxurious restaurant in Doha, with plastic tablecloths and a bit of a ramshackle feel, but don't let that put you off. I went with some work colleagues, took the suggested lamb and rice and chicken curry with naan bread. It's probably the fastest served food I have ever had, the lamb and rice was steaming hot and the curry was sizzling away in the pot. The lamb was absolutely delightful, falling away from the bone a really flavourful. The chicken curry was lovely, quite mild but still packed with flavour. The bread was superb and almost big enough to sleep under.Three of us ate for QAR76, including 3 bottles of water. For the price, it was fantastic and definitely one to keep on the list for future visits
I asked the most popular food blogger in Qatar where to get authentic Qatari food. She suggested this place. I am still not sure if this place is Qatari or Yemeni but what I am most certain of...is this is some of the best food you can get in this country. It's not too fancy and your food comes quickly and piping hot. No matter what you order, those guys are going to bring your food before you know it. They have indoor and outdoor seating and even floor seating. If your back and knees can handle it, this option looks like the most fun.If you have relatives visiting from out of the country or even if you are in Souq Waqif looking for some reasonably priced, incredible food....please please try the Mandi. I don't know how a dish of simple lamb and rice could be so delicious but Bandar Aden hits 10 out of 10 everytime!
If you love or want to try delicious Yemeni food then this is the place to go in Doha
Nice food better place to eat here in qatar
Overall was really good food and price was reasonable. The place is a bit beat up, but overall can't complain..I went on a Monday night and it was super crowded. The lamb and meat specials are very delicious, and tender, perfectly cooked. I would come again.
Good restaurant but prices is little high comparing to turkish
Not a bad place, food was decent. The best part was the view from the outside balcony seat we had of the busy market below.
Bread was good but the chicken I had was bland the price was real good
Overwhelming and authentic food. If you ever wanted to eat -extremely- good lamb meat, this is your place!
Hallo everyone I'm Ahsan from Pakistan I have big experience in this field so kindly contact me on Whatsapp +923137024373 I need job with Visa
The best place to have mandi, always crowded even though have ample space. Mouthwatering food ordered for Mutton Mandi, the soup they provide is just amazing, service wise they need to improve, but nonetheless the food is amazing, do u expect delays
Delicious food. It is one of the best Yemeni restaurants in Qatar., If you aren't expert in Yemeni food ask them for their bests and they will help you. highly recommended restaurant for Arabic foods...
Located at one of the iconic places in Qatar, in Souq Waqif. Hard to get a seat though. One of the best Yemeni Arabic food I had. The Mutton soup Biryani rice is a must try without fail.
One of the authentic Yemen style restaurant in Qatar. Have both indoor and outdoor seating available. Nice and calm atmosphere.Cleanliness. 4.5*Service 4*
We had a get-together with colleagues at this place for dinner. Amazing food and service. Loved the Majilis setup for an authentic Arabic experience.
